Blythswood Shoebox Appeal

Date

As part of our Rights Respecting Schools work the pupils looked at the Rights of the Child across the globe. They decided they wanted to do something to help children who were struggling to get an education. We linked up with Serenity Spa at Machrihanish for their Blythswood Shoebox Appeal. Families and staff were asked to donate educational items that could help a child towards their education. We had a fantastic number of donations which we added to the boxes. These boxes will be taken to England to be checked before being distributed to families in Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine. Thank you to all families and staff members who donated items and a special thank you to Laura Kennedy at Serenity Spa for allowing us to link with them for this project.   Article 28: Children have the right to an education.
