Primary 1 – 4 had a very exciting trip to East Drumlemble Farm today.
The visit was supported by representatives from the RHET. The children had previously undertaken a topic all about ‘Food and Farming’, so they were keen to extend their knowledge all about the journey of milk from the cow to the carton and the importance of caring for and raising dairy cows.
There were some budding farmers in the group, although they weren’t so sure about the 5am alarm clock!! ⏰️
Upon returning to school the children each recieved a tub of Wee Isles ice cream. This was organised by Catherine and Willie Ralston and kindly donated by Linda at the Kintyre Larder.
A huge thank you to all involved!! 🐄 🍨🍦🚜
