Virgin Bank ‘Make £5 Grow’

Date

We had a visit from Mairi McLean of Virgin Bank to launch a ‘Make £5 Grow’ challenge in the P 5-7 class. The idea behind the challenge is for the children to develop entrepreneurial skills. Virgin Bank have lent the class £75, £5 per child. The children have to come up with a business idea to make a profit. They then have to run this business and, hopefully, will make a profit. The school then pays back the £75 but retains the profit. Thank you very much to Mairi for giving us this opportunity and we are looking forward to sharing our ideas with her. Keep your eyes on our Facebook page to see the children’s ideas!
