It was time to put STEM into action today when the P5-7 children took part in a design challenge run by the RAF.
They were asked to design, construct and test gliders. They used different wing and empennage shapes to see which have the best results. The children used their maths skills to work out the average distance flown by their plane. The most successful planes achieved good lift and flew over 4 metres.
Later the children had fun flying their planes outside, where the wind helped the planes travel longer distances.
Article 29: Children have the right to an education that develops their personalities.
