The P5-7 children were joined by children from Carradale Primary for a visit by the Scottish Parliament’s Outreach Education Officer, Anne McMullen. As well as sharing information about the Scottish Parliament and its building in Edinburgh, Anne explained about the role of the Parliament in making decisions. The children worked in groups, debating which key issues they thought were of highest priority. They also learned how ballots work and how a majority is gained. The children then posed their own questions to Anne. Thank you very much to Anne for such an informative visit which  was the perfect round-  up for the children’s Scottish Parliament topic. Anne said she was very impressed by their knowledge of the subject.   Article 13 Every child must be free to express their thoughts and opinions and to access all kinds of information.
