What a lovely time the children had at the Small Schools Sports Day at Tayinloan. The worst of the weather stayed away for the morning events, with the children running the flat race, beanbag race and the golf ball and spoon race. A heavy shower came on just at lunchtime so the children ate their lunch with the others in the village hall. The sun came back out in time for the marathons, with the younger children running one whole lap. The distance increased as the participants were further up the school, culminating in a 3-lap marathon for P6 and 7 pupils. The children were delighted to be given ice lollies for their efforts.
