Medieval Kintyre – Conservation Architect

Date

P5-7 continued their Medieval Kintyre project with a recent visit from Paul Barham who is a Conservation Architect involved in planning the restoration of old buildings. The children were particularly interested to hear about the restoration of the former schoolhouse beside the Heritage Centre and seeing how it was transformed into the Bunkhouse. Paul showed the children a range of slides and then answered questions which the children posed. He then went on to look at plans the children had drawn up for an imaginary visitor centre to showcase Medieval Kintyre. Thank you to Paul and to Jan for giving up their time to come to speak to the children.   OCTF:Connected Learners School Value: Partnerships
