The sun shone for the Mini-Olympics yesterday. Countries from around the world gathered to take part in a range of events-javelin, shot putt, hurdles, horse eventing, the triathlon, relay and archery. There was an opening ceremony where the Olympic torch was passed from team to team. The event ended with a medal ceremony. It was lovely to see the children cooperating in teams and encouraging each other. The more traditional races took place in the afternoon, with a small break for the inevitable rain shower.
