As part of their learning ‘how to keep safe at bonfire night’, the ELC had a campfire in the forest. Together they discussed how to keep safe near a fire, what the rules of the campfire were and how to put the fire out carefully. The children then got a treat of toasting marshmallows. The staff wanted to know how much information the children had retained on their learning, with the children able to say how they keep safe near the fire and how the fire was put out.
